in the hearts of four individuals, a desire and a burden to reach out to a lost and dieing world was conceived. Brother Marion and
Sister Miriam Walls, along with Brother Gene "Tuney" and Sister Judy Walls began what we know today as the Jordan Apostolic
Church.
Equipped with dining room chairs and a staircase for seats, using instruments ranging from a piano
to guitars bought by the men, Jordan Apostolic Church was born on September 13, 1969 in the basement of Brother Tuney and Sister
Judy Walls' home at R.R. 14, Box 13 - known today as Keller Hill road in Mooresville, Indiana. Although not officially named, they had
actually met as a church in this home since April 23, 1969.

At the start of Jordan Apostolic Church, thirty five souls were baptized and filled with the Holy
Ghost in Jesus Name. As word spread of a people worshipping in this home, the congregation began to grow (exceeding 100 attendees
at one point in time) and folding chairs were later purchased to accommodate the new members.
For five years, the Walls family opened their home for services until the need arose for a larger
facility and one could be located. After several fervent prayers, the old Methodist church at 9 North Church Street in Brooklyn, Indiana
became Jordan Apostolic Church's new home on November 30, 1971. It is also noteworthy that the church building itself was built
in 1869 and was dedicated in 1870. Jordan Apostolic Church is one of two historical churches that still remain in Brooklyn, Indiana.
Since its creation, Jordan Apostolic Church has had six pastors. The first pastor was Brother
Patrick Davis from 1969 to 1974. He was followed by Brother Harry Kieninger from 1974 to 1978; then followed Brother Ronnie Tuomey
from 1978 to 1979, Brother Phillip Ailes from 1979 to 1993, Brother Bill Means from 1993 to 1996, and our current pastor: Brother
Ronald Danforth who accepted the pastorship in 1996.

Jordan Apostolic Church will forever be grateful to the Walls family. The endurance of faith some 35+ years ago
has brought us to this moment. The hope, the prayer, and the love they have given us, is forever etched upon our hearts. God is great
and greatly to be praised! We honor our founders and the four pillars who built this church by the grace and mercies of God!
